Quantum Opens Office in Northwest Florida

(Huntsville, AL, and Shalimar, FL) — On 29 June 2008, Quantum Research International, Inc (Quantum) celebrated the Grand Opening of its newest office located in Shalimar, Florida. The Quantum Northwest Florida (NWFL) office is operated by the Company's Defense Systems Sector under the Air and Missile Defense Support Division. This office is primarily responsible for identifying, researching, and developing new business opportunities for Quantum in the NWFL area with a focus on the Joint Integration and Interoperability environment. The new Quantum office is located in the Live Oak Commons office complex and includes an eight to ten person conference room with teleconferencing and computer projection capability and four offices to accommodate up to six staff members.

Quantum currently has three employees working from the Quantum NWFL office: Mr. Todd Hancock, Site Manager, NWFL, and Senior Joint Interoperability Military Analyst; Mr. Casey Bain, Senior Joint Military Analyst; and Mr. Dale Ringler, Senior Joint Military Analyst and Business Operations Manager for NWFL. Mr. Hancock provides support to the Air Force Operational and Test Center AFOTEC and Mr. Bain supports to the Joint Fires Integration and Interoperability Team (JFIIT).

The first business win for the Shalimar office was a sub-contract with SAIC to support JFIIT. The first Task Order was for Public Affairs support to JFIIT. Additional business opportunities for the Shalimar office include support to USJFCOM in a comprehensive evaluation and analysis of progress made toward eliminating or mitigating shortfalls identified for the Patriot missile system in the Operation Iraqi Freedom Lessons Learned, and also providing Subject Matter Expertise support to identify and recommend solutions for Joint interoperability issues for the Patriot air defense system and the Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar systems. Also, the office is pursuing an opportunity to support the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Engineering and Technical Support Contract, investigating involvement with the 7th Special Forces Group BRAC relocation to Eglin AFB, and researching engagement with the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center/Shelby Range expansion effort.
